With this positive result, Sada Cruzeiro remains at the top of the Brazilian league, with 23 points from eight wins in nine matches.

With eyes on the Club World Championship, Filipe Ferraz used the match against the team from Goiás to give the squad some rotation. Young middle blocker Juan Velasco came in during the match and was the top scorer with 10 points.
